If you are told that your lost item has been found（届いていると連絡があった方）　

Make sure that you go to the correct office with the required documents.
Operating hours are between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except for national holidays and December 29 - January 3).

Your bank or credit card issuer or mobile phone carrier will contact you upon notification from the police. Please check with them which police station keeps the item as well as its report number and go to the correct office during its operating hours.
To claim a lost mobile phone, the SIM card number or serial number is also required.

If you are to visit the Lost and Found Center or police station:

• Valid ID (driver’s license, health insurance card, passport or residence card)
• Lost Property Report if you have not filed one to the police
• Notification letter if you have received one
• Reference number to the lost item

If someone else is to pick up your lost item

• Valid ID of the person picking up the item
• Photocopy of your valid ID
• Lost Property Report if you have not filed one to the police
• Letter of Authorization
• Notification letter if you have received one; a picture of the letter is also acceptable.
• Reference number to the lost item
